Comparison

BubbleForms vs Jotform

Jotform will build almost any form you can describe. This is what we do differently, and where that breadth still wins.

Before anything else

Jotform has been at this for two decades and it shows: thousands of templates, payment fields, HIPAA plans, PDF generation, approval workflows. If your form is really a business process with a form on the front, buy Jotform. This page is for people whose form is six questions long and still gets abandoned.

Where Jotform is the better pick

It does almost everything

Payments, e-signatures, file uploads, approval chains, PDF output, HIPAA compliance. We do questions and answers. If you need any one item on that list, the comparison ends there.

10,000+ templates

Whatever your form is, Jotform has a starting point for it. We have six, written properly, which is a different bet entirely.

Conditional logic and calculations

Branching, field calculations, and pricing widgets that add up. BubbleForms asks its questions in order — fine for most, useless for a quote builder.

Compliance paperwork

HIPAA, GDPR tooling, SOC 2, signed BAAs. If procurement is involved in this decision, we are not the answer yet.

Where we're the better pick

One question at a time, as a chat

A Jotform with twelve fields announces twelve fields. Ours shows one question and a text box. The questions are the same; the amount of work they appear to be is not.

You keep the half-finished ones

Every answer is written to your account the moment it's given. Someone who quits at question four leaves you four answers and tells you exactly where question five went wrong. Jotform hands you the response on submit.

Nothing to install, nothing to embed

Publishing gives you a link that opens full-screen on any device. No widget, no iframe, no script tag on your site unless you want one.

Built for the phone first

Chips sized for a thumb, a keyboard that opens on the right type, and no zooming. Most Jotform layouts are a desktop form that has been made to fit.

So which one

Pick Jotform if the form collects money, needs a signature, has to branch, or has to satisfy a compliance requirement. That is most of what Jotform is for and we do none of it.

Pick BubbleForms if the form is short, goes to humans on phones, and the problem you actually have is that not enough of them finish it.

Both are quick to try. Building the same six questions here takes about a minute, so send both to ten people and compare completion rather than feature lists.

Questions people ask

For short, human-facing forms, yes — feedback, qualification, applications, RSVPs. For anything involving payments, signatures, file approval or compliance, no. Jotform is a much broader product and we would rather say so than waste your afternoon.
